I love going to the mall and finding a good bench to watch people. It's amazing what you can learn.
Watching cartoons can also teach you something about life. Remember the Road Runner and Wiley Coyote? Ole’ Wiley never could seem to figure things out. You might just say – he never learned.

There are so many people today who do a great Wiley Coyote imitation…for it is so true - some people never learn. They just remain alone.....

We ought to be more like geese. Love ‘em or hate ‘em – there's so much to learn. The thing with geese is their flocks always seem to get larger. Naturally, they do reproduce but it’s a proven fact that other geese are invited to join their group at different opportunities. I am not sure how they do it...maybe it's their internet or radio advertising...but somehow their flocks enlarge as the summer wears on.

John Maxwell’s book 'Developing Leaders Around You' reproduced part of a story entitled 'Are You a Goose'.
He shared:
1. Geese illustrate the concept of fellowship.
When geese fly south for the winter, they get together to make the journey easier. The famous “V” formation has shown scientists that as each bird flaps its wings, it creates an uplift for the bird immediately behind it. By flying in this formation, the whole flock adds at least 71% greater flying range than if the bird was on its own.
On our morning jogs, I have found that running with a friend makes the process so much easier.

How? Because the encouragement helps us to not quit. If you find yourself falling out of formation with God and others around you, resistance will begin to form until it wears you down. God gave these geese the instinct of ‘togetherness’ to ensure their survival. We MUST stay together and stand together...embracing the vision to grow together!
I John 1:6-7
If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
But some people just never learn . . . .
2. Geese also know about encouragement.
Ever heard geese fly overhead? Their racket (honking) is amazing as they fly by. Most researchers believe they're honking at the one in front of them to encourage it to keep up its speed. Everyone honks from behind….but what are we saying to one another? What should be encouragement is too often turned into criticism.
Proverbs 11:25 says, 'A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.'
Being a student, you either learn or you don’t. Quite often we know what it is we should be doing, but knowing is not enough. Knowing doesn't make you successful...doing does.
Today, are you impersonating Wiley Coyote...or are you a goose?
